Bowen Treatment

What to expect:

For your first appointment/session, I allow for 1 ½ hours. Usually an appointment/session will take about one hour.

The treatment can be performed while wearing light clothing, however best results are achieved performing BOWTECH® directly on the skin. A series of different gentle 'moves' are performed with thumbs and fingers, slightly moving the skin. These moves are very subtle and no manipulation or force is used. Between moves there is a short pause, allowing the body to process and react to the treatment. This pause should also be utilised by the patient to relax and even try to feel their body's reaction.

BOWTECH® treats the body as a whole, therefore don't be surprised if you come to see me because of pain in your shoulder but I start the treatment on your back.

  • in acute situations, allow for 1-3 appointments
  • 4 or more appointments may be necessary to treat chronic problems
  • regular treatments can help with disabilities or degenerative conditions
