About Renate
Hi, I am Renate Christ, and I was born and raised in Germany. My husband and I, arrived in 2000 aboard our own sailing yacht in New Zealand and have since become permanent residents.
From an early age I had the gift of connecting with people and being an active listener. Sport has always been a part of my life and is my biggest hobby. I have always felt comfortable in a team, which led me to become a qualified trainer and referee. In our sport department I was responsible and specifically trained for juniors as well as retired seniors. I continued these duties as a volunteer for many years.
Because of my interest in being active, helping others and learning new skills, it was a logical career choice for me to progress from swimming instructor and trainer to become a qualified rescue diver followed by a qualified advanced paramedic training. Eventually I became the 'first' professional female firefighter in Germany.
Throughout the past 30 years within the rescue services, I have learnt to easily adjust and empathize with everyone, as well as to take responsibility. During this time it became clear to me how important good health is particulary the wonderful, life-enhancing interaction of mind, body and soul.
For this reason I became a Bowen Practitioner in New Zealand, as it reflects my philosophy of respecting a person as a whole. As a passionate BOWTECH® Therapist since 2008 I have been a professional member of the NZBTI (New Zealand Bowen Therapy) and BTAA (Bowen Therapy Academy of Australia).
It is of importance to me to understand the people around me and to be there for them. This is what I offer to you, by giving you and your body the kick-start to maintain and restore your health.
